In a world running at 100mph, finding ourselves busier and more anxious than ever, it's no wonder that our generation is now looking for new ways to rest, relax and reset our minds.

Here are my top 6 tips and the ones I find most helpful for looking after myself in a world-wind life.

1. Journaling


'Mind-dumping' is one of the best ways to create a calmer, more productive mind. Writing all the buzz going on in your head down on paper gives your brain room to breathe and helps stop over-thinking. I like to use my journal to set myself reminders and a to-do list each day, the goals I'd like to achieve, and the 3 things I'm grateful for (however big or small!)

Articulating your thoughts onto paper really gives you a grasp of how you feel about situations, and reading them in front of you allows you to find solutions or realise that what you are worrying about maybe isn't' so bad after all.
